Several months ago, my good friend and legendary musician James "Wadada Khufu" Watts was involved in a very serious car accident. Luckily, he survived and has been physically recovering very well. However, due to medical bills and everything else, he has been struggling financially and is currently unable to work very much. Music gigs are his only income, and it became increasingly difficult because he no longer has a car.

Known for his unique virtuoso bass and guitar playing, Wadada has been one of LA's greatest Reggae and Funk pioneers and has toured the world with his band Inner Secrets in the 1970s and 1980s. Since then, he toured and recorded with music legends such as Lauryn Hill, Joe Higgs, Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys, Guitar Shorty, Swamp Dogg, The Chambers Brothers, and many others. He's been my good friend and bandmate for about 20 years, and I can truly say he's one of the best people I've ever known. I've seen him help, heal, and lift up so many people over the years. He has always been there for others in need.

Right now, he needs our help, and I'm trying to raise money to help him buy a car and help him get back on his feet again, so that he can continue blessing us with his amazing music and all the great things he's been doing for the community.
