Three years ago, a young woman fired from my Church’s daycare filed criminal complaints against two sisters, Brittney and Jordan, who are pictured above. Warrants were issued for the girls charging them with various misdemeanors. Shortly thereafter, the District Attorney’s office went to the Grand Jury and had the misdemeanor charges upgraded to felony child abuse.
Although I believe the facts to have been greatly exaggerated, I knew the sisters needed a good attorney, so I asked Ed Odum to defend them. Unfortunately, Ed passed away while these charges were pending against the sisters.
The Judge recently denied Youthful Offender status for the younger sister and trials for both sisters are set for trial in October. As you might imagine, the sisters need a good attorney to replace Ed and defend them against these exaggerated claims.
If you want to help finish something Ed was not able to finish…
If you want to help Brittney and Jordan defend themselves against exaggerated claims by a disgruntled former employee…
If you are just plain tired of misdemeanors suddenly becoming felonies in Shelby County…
please contribute to the Odum-Wayland-Sister Defense Fund.
The GoFundMe Team has requested that I include additional information. My name is Tom Ansley from Birmingham, Alabama. I am the attorney of record in the criminal cases pending against Brittney and Jordan. I also attend the same church as they do. Since my background is exclusively in the area of contracts and business law, the funds are being raised to hire an experienced trial attorney to defend Brittney and Jordan in their upcoming trials. The plan is to send the funds raised directly to the attorney we plan to hire, Bill Myers of Birmingham, Alabama.
