One Last Ride: A Dream for Dean Kersting and His Family

Dean Kersting, a 54-year-old father of three, a devoted family man, and a true American hero, is battling stage 4 colon cancer. Despite his relentless fight, his doctors have confirmed that time is short. Rather than letting this battle define his final chapter, Dean hopes to create a lasting memory with his loved ones. A family cruise through the Mediterranean, a place he has always dreamed of experiencing together with his wife and children.

Dean’s story is one of service, sacrifice, and love. From 1992 to 1998, Dean served as a Navy SEAL on SEAL Team Two. A deep-sea diver and underwater welder, Dean’s career included deployments in Somalia during the Black Hawk Down mission and in the Persian Gulf War.

As a father, Dean has been a pillar of strength and love for his three children, including Duke Kersting, a member of the Philadelphia Little Flyers EHL hockey team. Duke left our team to spend precious time with his dad during these challenging days. This campaign is not about covering medical expenses; it’s about honoring Dean’s wish to create an unforgettable memory – a "last ride" with his family on a Mediterranean cruise. This journey would allow the Kersting family to focus on love, laughter, and togetherness, savoring the moments that truly matter.
