One last cancer wish. That is all I want to give my mother. In March of 2024 she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. That cancer then metastasized to her bones, liver, lungs and now brain. Her spine is basically being held together with tumors and a couple of those tumors have even fractured her spine. Even with treatment she has 18 months at the longest. One of her biggest wishes in life is to visit Louisiana and swim with the otters at Magnolia Wilds in Ethel, her favorite animal. I have started this gofundme in the hopes that the money can be raised to give her her final wish. You see my mom isn't just my mom. Helena is a mother to not only myself but my brother Baby Scott, who has down syndrome, as well as my brother Korby. She is also a grandmother to 5 beautiful granddaughters. Before getting sick Helena was a nurse. She worked in nursing homes, home health, hospice and behavioral health before getting sick. Helena has chosen to do chemo but unfortunately, in my opinion it is not working or in her favor and the cancer just keeps spreading. My hopes are to get her to Louisiana while we still can to give her, her dream. The one vacation she has talked about since getting diagnosed, before cancer could possibly take her away.
