One heart & One world - Two communities: Madagascar & Basel

Donation protected
As I have told most of you, for my birthday this year I don't want any presents but your heartfelt support to two causes and populations that are very close to me: LCDM Solimad in Madagascar and Frauenhaus Basel . I will split the donated amount 50/50 between the 2. Thank you in advance :)!

LCDM NGO : When the disease strikes, it doesn't consider skin color, social status, or ethnicity. True commitment means placing human dignity at the center, ensuring that no one is left behind, and recognizing the strength of our complementarity. For 20 years now, the LCDM Association has been on the front line: initiator of the first national program to fight sickle cell disease in Madagascar, it tirelessly carries out all actions to defeat the disease and its injustices. Every day, we fight so that tens of thousands of families, children, single mothers, often excluded, ignored, and isolated in pain, are cared for with respect for their dignity. Because for many, living with sickle cell disease means having to choose between feeding a child or caring for another; between drinking to survive or washing to maintain basic hygiene, in a context where access to water has become a luxury for the majority. Wherever we are in the world, let's speak the same language: that of inclusion, solidarity, and respect.
Because beyond borders, it is our common humanity that unites us.
Together, let's build a future where no one is forgotten.
Give today, save a life tomorrow. Every coin counts, every donation is tracked, every life saved is our shared victory in ending this scourge.

Frauenhaus Basel : The Women's Shelter of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft opened in June 1981. Today, it is the region's most important residential facility for women with and without children who have been victims of violence. The women's shelter is available to women with and without children who experience domestic violence – whether physical, psychological, economic or in any other form – at the hands of their husband, partner or other family members. It also provides temporary accommodation and assistance to young women aged 18 and over who are threatened with forced marriage. The most important components of a stay at the women's shelter are protection from further violence, personal counseling, and temporary accommodation. The shelter offers the victim the opportunity to confront your situation in a safe and violence-free environment. You can build self-confidence and find a way out of your violent life situation for yourself and your children.
