Help Me Bring My Passion for Wildlife & helping others to Camp America!
Hi, I’m Kasey! I’m currently studying Animal Care Level 3 with a long-term goal of becoming a professional zookeeper. Over the past few years I’ve gained incredible hands-on experience—working over 150 hours at a petting zoo, volunteering on wildlife reserves in South Africa, and even assisting with conservation projects like anti-poaching patrols and ecological surveys.
Next summer (2026) I’ve been given an amazing opportunity to work at a children’s camp in the United States. Camp is more than just games and campfires: it’s a place where kids feel safe, accepted, and free to be themselves. I’ll be encouraging shy campers to join in, cheering them on as they try new activities, and sharing my love for animals and the outdoors. My background in animal care and conservation means I can bring unique skills to camp—teaching kids about nature, showing them how to care for animals, and inspiring them to protect our planet.
I believe these experiences can spark a lifelong love for wildlife and the environment. I believe these opportunities overseas help me grow. It challenges me to adapt, strengthens my teamwork and communication skills, and deepens my understanding of conservation on a global scale. I know this journey will help me become a better person and a better future zookeeper.
