My Story
My name is Liz, and I’m a foster mom with a heart full of love and a home waiting to be filled. For years, I’ve opened my door to children who needed stability, protection, and kindness—often in their darkest moments. Being a foster mother has shaped me. It’s deepened my sense of purpose, expanded my capacity to love, and confirmed what I’ve known all along:
I was meant to be a mom.
Not just a temporary safe haven—but a forever home.
Right now my two foster lovies are not going anywhere- but there are no guarantees in foster care. They have a forever home with me, if that’s what the courts determine. But a biological baby would be a chance to give love that would not change.
I’ll be honest—asking for help like this is not easy. I’ve gone back and forth on whether to share this at all. It feels vulnerable to put something so personal into the world, especially something as sacred as the hope of becoming a mother. But this matters more than my pride. IVF is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me—one window, one chance to bring a child into my life through love and intention. I know I’ll be a good mom. Not a perfect one, but one who shows up every day with patience, humor, protection, and unconditional love. That’s why I’m asking. Not because it’s comfortable—but because it’s worth it.
Why IVF
This journey doesn’t follow the traditional path, but it’s one I’ve chosen with clear eyes and unwavering heart. I’m pursuing IVF on my own—not because I’m alone, but because I am surrounded by love, and ready to give more of it.
I’ve reached the point in life where I no longer want to wait for the “right timing” or the “perfect circumstances.” I’m ready now—to bring a child into my life with intention, devotion, and every bit of strength I have.
But IVF is expensive. And while I’ve worked hard and saved where I can, the cost remains a high mountain to climb.
