One Eye, One Hope, Help Buddy the Stray Cat Heal!

My name is Amanda Castillo. I'm trying to help a stray that needs surgery.

This big guy (17 lbs!) started coming around my house for food. I soon found out he is friendly and sweet! I noticed his right eye was infected. I took him to the vet and they treated it. They got rid of the infection, but because he'd had it so long prior to the vet visit, he's now blind in that eye. The vet says since it continues to bother him, it's got to come out. The surgery is $1500, scheduled for March 4th. I've paid for the initial visit, treatment for the infection, neutering, and shots. I can't afford to pay for this surgery by myself. I really would appreciate any help if anyone is willing to give it.

BTW, I've been calling this guy "Buddy." It's obvious to me he has had an owner at one point, but his scars from cat fights, the infection, etc., show it's been quite some time that he's been on the streets. I just don't understand it because he's such a good cat!
