Many of you know him as “the sexy veggie” or “daddy nae.” But no matter what you call him, there is one thing we all call Rene and that’s “an inspiration.” A little over 2 yrs ago, Rene was in a motorcycle accident after an SUV made an illegal u-turn in front of him. From 55mph to a dead stop, Rene crashed into the side of a Tahoe leaving him paralyzed from t3 (mid chest) down.

Since then he’s overcome more obstacles than anyone I know. He joined a sled hockey team, goes to the gym every day, all while spreading nothing but love, support, and positivity to everyone he meets. Now he’s defying the odds once more and pursuing his dream of riding again.

Doing so is going to require a lot of costly modifications to his bike in order to accommodate his injuries. His pride and humility would’ve never allowed him to create this fundraiser himself, so I’m doing so on his behalf because I can’t think of anyone more deserving of the help than the man, who just under a year ago, saved my life when I was at my lowest.His legs might not work, but he will stand up for you in a heart beat!
