Turning Deferred Dreams into Reality: Help Oneilia Graduate
Donation protected
Greetings All! My name is Oneilia Yearde, a past student of the Wolmer’s Girls School and a senior year international student at Florida Memorial University who hails from the community of Allman Town in Kingston, Jamaica.
I am a passionate footballer and sports enthusiast, a lover of animals and research and a very hardworking and ambitious being.
I left Jamaica in 2021 on a scholarship to Florida Memorial University to embark on fulfilling my academic dream of pursuing my first degree in Biology/Nursing as well as living out my childhood dream of playing football, a sport that brought me pure peace joy and happiness.
In 2023, I hit a major roadblock while training for a match. A severe ACL injury shattered not only my scholarship but also my ability to continue playing the sport I love.
I was on track to graduate in 2023 and make a difference both on and off the field, however, this unexpected setback has left me struggling to make ends meet and complete my final year of education. I'm reaching out to humbly request your support in helping me complete my degree and get back on my feet.
Your generous contribution will go directly towards covering my tuition fees, books, and living expenses during this challenging time. By assisting me in overcoming these unexpected hurdles, you're not only helping me secure a brighter future, but also supporting a young person who has broken through the glass ceiling of their circumstances to reach for more.
I promise to work tirelessly, both in the classroom and in my rehabilitation, to emerge stronger and better prepared to face life's challenges. Your support means the world to me and brings me one step closer to achieving my dreams.
Please consider donating and sharing my campaign with your network. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact.
Thank you for believing in my journey and for being a part of my story. With your help, I'm confident that I can turn this setback into a comeback!
With heartfelt gratitude, thank you in advance. I shall overcome!
