We’re Ryan and Yeleny, and coffee is where our journey began. In 2021, our paths crossed at Ryan’s first coffee shop, where his love for coffee started behind the bar. Yeleny, grew up in a Salvadoran home where coffee meant slowing down, sharing stories and being present. 

That shared love became the heart of Alma (Spanish for “soul”), reflecting the spirit and intention behind every cup we serve. Rooted in faith and shaped by our Salvadoran + African American cultures, we’re bringing our family traditions into a shared experience through coffee and food.

Our mission is to craft exceptional coffee with a design-driven approach to every cup, celebrating community and committing to sustainability.

Our first goal is to launch our mobile coffee cart in Summer 2026, with plans to open a brick-and-mortar space in the future.

Through our campaign, One Cup, One Alma, we’re raising $15,000 to cover essential start-up costs such as equipment, materials, permits, design, and production.
