Help me fight for Josephine's Freedom

This girl is like one of your most caring sisters… your sweetest daughter. These girls are meant to be cherished, not abandoned… but this girl was left with nobody but a cold cell…

Her name is Josephine and she’s currently incarcerated and going through one of the hardest battles of her life. What hurts the most is knowing she’s fighting this battle alone, without proper legal help or anyone truly standing up for her.

Her public defender — the one who was supposed to fight for her — wasn’t doing right by her. Instead of defending her truth, they were pressuring her into choices that would have destroyed her future. She had the courage to stand up for herself and drop that lawyer, but now she has no representation, no guidance, and no one to protect her rights.

Josephine is not the monster the system is trying to paint her as. She’s a real person with a big heart, someone who’s been through pain but still finds ways to smile, to pray, to believe in better days.

She doesn’t deserve to be thrown away by a system that doesn’t care to understand her story. Especially when she was the first one to contact the police… they were so lost in the case they couldn’t find anybody, so they put it on the only person there… which was her.

I talk to her every day, and I hear the exhaustion in her voice. But I also hear hope — the kind of hope that refuses to die even when everything feels stacked against you. I promised her she wouldn’t have to face this fight alone, and that’s why I’m here asking for help.
