Oncology Ward, University Hospital Limerick.

On the 7th October 2023 I am going to take on the challenge of completing Quest Killarney. This involves running and cycling through the Gap of Dunloe, Molls Gap, Black Valley, Ring of Kerry, Torc Waterfall, Devil’s Punchbowl, Mangerton Mountain and Muckross House as well as kayaking across the Muckross Lake in Killarney National Park.

I have decided that while challenging myself I would make it worth my while and raise money for the Oncology Ward in University Hospital Limerick, which holds a very special place in our families’ hearts. In August 2022, we sadly lost the life and soul of our family, my auntie Majella. After seeing first hand the endless care and devotion given towards all patients and family members during her time on the ward, we feel this is the least we can do to show our gratitude.

While this is a huge challenge for me, it is only a fraction of the challenge people sadly face on this ward daily.
