On The Rock.....Mount Kilimanjaro

Donation protected
Each year I usually throw a big party somewhere in the UK, But this year, for my BIG BIRTHDAY I have decided to climb the tallest mountain in Africa.

MOUNT KILIMAN JARO

Its been on my bucket list from first setting eyes on it in 2003 whilst flying in-between Nairobi and Mombassa in Kenya.

But my love for the mountain obviously comes from the legendary reggae rub a dub sound system from Jamaica, KillamanJaro Sound

I was introduced to this sound system by my oldest brother Mark who came to the UK in 1985. The cassette he played me had live artists like Supercat, Early B and Puddy Roots to name a few, and if you have followed my career you would know that this introduction left its mark on me.

Not only that but my late mother went to school with the owner Mr Harper and my gran mother always used to talk about "The one hoarse sounding box outside the Harper family shop" in Lawrence Tavern.

My aim is to get to the Uhuru peak on my birthday and play a Killaman Jaro dubplate at the summit. ...... Bluetooth Speaker hahahahahaha...

What track should it be…Johnny Osbourne, Garnet Silk…..?????

Leave a suggestion.....

So please please please Sponsor this challenge I'm taking on....
If you have ever bought a ticket for one of my birthday bashes or events, this year I kindly ask you to donate a likkle ting......

After discussion with Papa Jaro we both thought the recipients should be from the area the sound system originally came from.....Lawrence Tavern, St Andrew

I will be announcing the schools in the next few days
