My name is Kailen, I’m 18 years old, and I’ve just been selected to represent Team GB in acrobatic gymnastics.
I started gymnastics at 9 years old and have dedicated my life to this sport. I’ve become an English Champion, a three-time British Champion, and in 2023 I won the World Gutenberg Cup representing Great Britain.
After a 12 month break from competing — where I continued coaching younger gymnasts — I returned to full training in September. Since then, I’ve won one gold and three silver medals, earning my place back on the international stage.
This year I will represent Great Britain at:
• World Cup – Bulgaria (May) – £1,100
• World Cup – Poland (June) – £1,300
• World Championships – Italy (September, if selected) – £1,500
• Team GB kit – £600
Fundraising Goal: £4,500
Acrobatic gymnastics is completely self-funded. I work three jobs and train around 20 hours a week, travelling between Swindon and Southampton multiple times per week to train with my partner.
Alongside these international events, I will also be self-funding:
• GBR training camps
• English Championships – Newton Aycliffe (April)
• Tigers International – Essex (June)
• British Championships – Telford (July)
As a Junior gymnast, my goal isn’t just to compete at the World Championships — it’s to place, and build my pathway toward competing at Senior level for Great Britain in the future.
I’m incredibly proud to wear the GB badge, and I’m committed to doing everything I can to make this season count.
Any support or share would mean a huge amount as I take this next step in my journey
