Give Marcia a boost on the road to PhD!!

Hello! I'm Artist Marcia X, a Puerto Rican American artist from Chicago studying in Barcelona, and I've just been accepted onto the Phd philosophy program at the art university EINA! I'm a novice film-maker and performance artist working with themes of the Puerto Rican diaspora and colonialism, and whilst the work is important for me, it doesn't not pay a livable wage. I also maintain a Patreon page where I write short essays on art criticism, reviews and share my practice, but it is new and still growing. My visibility as an artist here in Barcelona is not very high, as I am still meeting people and establishing myself here in this city. 

I'm crowd funding in order to assist paying visa renewal, medical insurance, tuition and initial material (books, printing) costs. As of right now money is tight, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated until I am able to retain a new visa and legally be able to work whilst studying.
