Help Us Keep Us Afloat After My Wife’s Surgeries.
Dear Friends and Kind Strangers,
We've never imagined we would be in this position, but here we are, reaching out to you during the most difficult time of our lives. Over the past year and a half, Dena has undergone two major surgeries, and while we hoped for a full recovery, the journey has been much harder than we could have ever anticipated.
Despite following every protocol, her application for long-term disability has continually been held up for the last 5 months, leaving us without a safety net as the bills have steadily piled up. We’re now facing the very real possibility of losing everything—our home, our car, and even our basic utilities. With rent due, the electricity bill looming, and no income to cover our essential needs, we are on the brink of losing it all.
The cost of health insurance for myself was simply beyond our reach, with premiums and medications totaling $2,100 a month—an amount we could never afford. To manage my own health, I’ve turned to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which has been a lifesaver, allowing me to stop four of my most expensive medications and reducing my medical costs to around $100 a month. However, even with this significant cut, we’re still struggling to make ends meet. I've already spoken with the BJJ Professors about reducing my monthly costs even further.
We've already sold nearly all of our belongings that held any value, just to keep our heads above water. Dena's health is our top priority, but I’m struggling to keep us afloat. We’re asking for your support to help us cover the basics—rent, bills, and groceries—so that we can focus on her healing without the constant fear of losing our home.
Every little bit helps and brings us one step closer to stability. We’ve always worked hard and taken pride in providing for ourselves, but right now, we can’t do it alone. If you can find it in your heart to donate, or even just share our story, it would mean the world to us. Thank you for being the light in our darkest hour.
With deep gratitude,
Timothy and Dena Boyle.
