On our way to Robotics World 2017

Hi, my name is Cody and I'm a highschool student.
Together with 5 other students we belong to our school's Robotics Club.

We started out at the beginning of this schoolyear by building a robot so we could participate at the VEX Robotics tournaments held in our state of Delaware.
Beyond our wildest dreams, we managed to win the Brandywine Regional Championship which was our first competition against some pretty tough competitors.
We worked really hard afterwards and stayed after school every day to improve our robot, upgrading it and also testing it out on our selfmade, improvised field. All this in preparation for our second tournament ever, which was the Delaware State Championship.
And guess what? We won again! All thanks to our teamwork, our engineering teacher and amazing parents.

Now that we have come so far, it is pretty obvious that we want to participate and proudly represent our school and district and ofcourse our State and Country in the next challenge: 2017 VEX Worlds - VEX Robotics Competition High School Division.

With additional funding we will be able to obtain more advanced technology, the real field to practice on and robot equipment. 
We would also have to pay for tournament registration, transportation and lodging fees for the upcoming Tournament, which is next month: 19-22 of April 2017.

Here's a breakdown of our expenses for just that week.
Registration: $850
Hotel: $4500 for those days for all of us
Robot equipment: $1500 (field, batteries, field accessoires)
Extra expenses (F&B, Robotics social activities at Worlds): $2000
Miscellaneous : $1000

I know it is very short notice but we just won last Saturday and we never thought we would get so far on our second competition ever.
