Hi, my name is Lucy. I’m 18 years old, and I’ve been homeless and on my own since I was 17. The summer going into my senior year of high school, my life changed completely. My mom lost our home, our car, and her job all around the same time. She wasn’t able to take care of me anymore, and I had nowhere to go. Since then, I’ve been moving from place to place, doing whatever I can just to get by.

I don’t have family I can turn to, and navigating life on my own at such a young age has been overwhelming. I tried to keep pushing forward and even started college, hoping it would be my way out. But without financial support or stability, I had to make the difficult decision to drop out because I simply couldn’t afford it.

Right now, I’m just trying to build a future for myself from nothing. I’m asking for help so I can take the next steps toward stability and independence.

My goal is to:

• Enroll in driving school

• Get a car so I can reliably get to work and opportunities

• Secure a safe and stable place to live
