On Jackie’s Wings
We Rise UP, To End Domestic Violence
When the life of Brenda Frasser’s daughter, Jackie, was taken by domestic violence, Brenda felt compelled to turn tragedy and grief into something positive. Along with her family, Brenda wishes to bring together a community of people with the common goal of ending domestic violence. Together we will find strength to heal, raise awareness, and pay it forward by raising funds for Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS).
The vision of DAIS is to create a nonviolent community that promotes safety, peace, justice and hope. Their mission is to empower those affected by domestic violence and advocate for social change through support, education, and outreach. Please visit www.abuseintervention.org for more information.
In addition, the event will raise funds to provide a college scholarship for Jackie’s son Calvin. Calvin was truly the love of Jackie’s life and she wanted nothing more than to see him flourish and be happy. After the tragic loss of his mother at age 13, the family’s goal is to ensure a bright future for Calvin.
A fundraising event will be held Saturday October 5th at 10:00 a.m. at Brittingham Park in Madison. Follow us on Facebook Page for details. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be divided equally between DAIS and a college scholarship fund for Calvin. If you are moved to give, we will be honored by your generosity and kindness. Paying it forward may make a difference for someone in need and may even save a life.
