My name is Jodie and I'm raising funds because at the end of October, I will have no place to live. My husband passed from COVID in 2021, and I've struggled horribly since. In June of '24, a woman ran a stop sign causing me to total my car. I only had liability insurance. When I went to the hospital to be checked for internal injuries, it was discovered that I was very sick with something I didn't even know I had. This illness meant very restricted liquids, and this forced me to leave my warehouse job. I filed for unemployment, but nothing ever arrived. I had no job, no car, and no way to fix either situation.

The dear friend that took me in to help me get back on my feet shortly before I had the accident is now selling her house due to needing to move close to her parents, who are in failing health. I've gotten a job that I applied for in July that supplies a vehicle, but there's been a tremendous amount of red tape to get through and a few snags here and there. This is causing a significant delay. Ideally, I could begin work and make enough money to get an apartment, but these delays are going to make that an impossibility. There are no other friends that can help and no family. I have 2 cats that are like my children and will make going to a shelter extremely difficult. I literally have nowhere to turn, and someone suggested I come here. If anyone can please help me, I will be forever grateful. You'll literally be saving my life.
