Dad had Heart Surgery, caring for Parents

My name is Charlene Woods.   Where do I start? This is still very emotional right now.  On February 10, 2021 at 8:34pm I received a call from one of my dad's bowling partners. He told me I need to drive to Savannah, Ga  that my dad collapsed and was not breathing.  So I left my  apartment in Florida and jumped on the highway in full speed trying to get my dad, who is my best friend.  When I arrived at the hospital.  I found out that my dad had died but with his friends knowing CPR and the paramedics they were able to shock him 3 times to get his heart back beating.  Turns out my dad had a heart attack and tests showed he needed an open heart  triple heart bypass surgery.  Little background on my dad. My Dad Charles is a retired Army 1st Sergeant also a Desert Storm Veteran.  My Dad is an Active Bowler in 3 leagues and one being a National League that he is the President.  My dad has never been in the hospital or ever had surgery.  My step mom has dementia and my dad is her primary caregiver.  So I am taking care of both parents by myself.  My dad is still in the hospital and my mom is full time care.  Because I need to be off work to take care of both. I am Blessed that I can take Family Leave Care from work with job protection.  But unfortunately its without pay.  So I am needing the money to be able to maintain my home , bills and pay for my medical benefits at work so I don't lose them due to I take medication regularly as well. I am going to be off work for at least 3 months. Until my dad is fully recovered and back on his feet to take care of his home and my step mom. It's a lot of responsibility and I am trying my best to take care of my parents. I haven't had a chance to really process what has happened cause  I have been in business mode stepping in my dad's shoes to make sure everything is taken care of in my dad's absence.
