I cant imagine there are many things worse or more devastating than unexpectedly losing your mom, your wife... How can you prepare, financially, emotionally, mentally, physically, for something that wasn’t even on your radar? (And shouldn’t be) You can’t. Maegan and her dad, Bob, are dealing with feelings and emotions that for so many of us, are unfathomable and unrelatable. Losing your mom at 27, sucks. Losing your wife of 34 years, sucks.
On behalf of Sandy Wetherby, who passed away on Monday February 25th with the two loves of her life at her side, I have created this page for them; to help manage the unmanageable, and help decrease the financial stress that comes along with an unexpected loss, as this is the last thing anyone should have to worry or focus on while they grieve.
If you grew up on the LMSA fields, Sandy could be found with her beautiful blonde hair standing on the sideline, cheering her babygirl on! This also included defending her. If you’ve been to Tiki, you probably saw her enjoying the music of Dr. Cheeko and embracing the sunshine. Under the lights on the Manchester Hawks field, you could find her screaming “GO MAEGAN, GO!”
She was fierce, bold, confident, loving, and so very generous. She adored her husband, and her daughter. She will forever be irreplaceable, and their lives will have a hole that cannot be filled. Please consider acting as Sandy would, with generosity, you can offer a response that answers a profound need
I’ve been blessed to grow up with The Wetherbys cheering me on, from running the turkey trot, flying around the soccer fields from elementary to high school, to being in the pew as I walked down the aisle to marry Charles. Maegan has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. She was raised by two people that taught her what it means to be a true friend. For all that she has done for me, this is the very least I could do for her, and her dad to honor their momma and wife ❤️ Thank you for helping them during this terrible time
