From the mother of Tanner: "Marty and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the continued thoughts and prayers for our little man. This has been the most trying time of our lives, and its support from friends and family that help us keep it together. Tanner is still listed as critical, but now has been upgraded to stable, he had a rough night Tuesday night but after some tweaking they were able to calm him down and he has been kept heavily sedated since, last night was very quiet. He is still ventilator dependent, and will be for a while. He had another CT this a.m to check on his brain swelling, and it is still very swollen in the cerebellum, where the clot was at, but that is expected and there are no new bleeds . The pathology reports came back this a.m as well and it verified that he in fact had an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) that had ruptured, causing the bleed and clot. The quick actions of everyone is what saved his life (including Tanner, my AMAZING 6 yr old, who shared with me everything that he was experiencing as it happened which led me to conclude that this was serious). We have a long road ahead of us and we still do not know the extent of brain damage that he will have, but we have him.....and for that we are so grateful!
