The time has come for those of you that may not know. My son, Omar, was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in January of 2023. He has been trying to live a normal life, but it has been a rollercoaster. He has been in and out of the hospital having to spend two days to even up to two weeks in the past six months. Doctors have come to the conclusion that he will need a kidney transplant. Since he is a Type 1 diabetic he is also asking for a pancreas transplant. In the last weeks he has gotten worse and had to start dialysis unexpectedly. He is now doing dialysis three times a week. He will be off work periodically for appointments and treatments. He is still going through the process to be on the transplant list. With that being said, every dollar counts to help him through these hard times. Thank you in advance!

Ha llegado el momento para aquellos de ustedes que quizás no lo sepan. Mi hijo, Omar, fue diagnosticado con enfermedad renal crónica en enero de 2023. Ha estado tratando de llevar una vida normal, pero ha sido una montaña rusa. Ha estado entrando y saliendo del hospital teniendo que pasar de dos días a dos semanas en los últimos seis meses. Los médicos han llegado a la conclusión de que necesitará un trasplante de riñón. Como es diabético tipo 1, también está solicitando un trasplante de páncreas. En las últimas semanas ha empeorado y tuvo que iniciar diálisis de forma inesperada. Ahora está haciendo diálisis tres veces por semana. Estará fuera del trabajo periódicamente para citas y tratamientos. Todavía está pasando por el proceso para estar en la lista de trasplantes.
