On March 11th at 7:10 p.m., Omar Palos suddenly and unexpectedly passed from this life to join our God in Heaven. He leaves behind his wife, Katie, and 5 children: Katy Belle (10), Beaux (9), Olivia (4), Madeline (2), and Nora (10 weeks). A devoted husband and father, Omar was a true light in this world with a kind soul who spread joy and love to all that knew him. On Thursday March 7th, he went to the hospital complaining of stomach pains. The doctors diagnosed him with diverticulitis and suggested surgery as treatment. Katie and Omar agreed and on the 11th, he underwent surgery to correct the condition. Unfortunately, there were complications from the surgery that he was not able to overcome.

Omar touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a dedicated countryman, serving in both the Marines and the Army National Guard. He also served as a coach and a teacher and was an inspiration to his students. His easy-going nature made instant friends of anyone he met. His greatest joy was his family.
