A little over 2 weeks ago, there was a fire in Omar's apartment building, causing everyone to evacuate. Fortunately, Omar and his family are safe and healthy. However, all of their furniture and belongings are gone, and they are indefinitely displaced. They are currently staying with family, and are looking for a new home.
This is an especially trying time; as a loving father and a dedicated employee, Omar has lost time at work, and is in the midst of getting everything back together.
An unavoidably cliche, but true sentiment: Omar is one of the nicest and hardest working members of our family here at Upland. He is a tremendous part of our restaurant team, and we are here to help pull through for him and help lighten his load. He has helped make our restaurant a home, so let us help him rebuild his.
