Asslamu Alikum,
I am working to help Omar Mosque raise the funds needed to complete the purchase of three homes located immediately behind the Omar Mosque building. Not having designated parking has been a major struggle for the mosque worshipers. The homes will be converted to a parking lot for mosque worshipers.
The cost of the homes is $1,235,000.00. The money raised will be used to pay for the homes itself, attorney and closing fees.
Omar Mosque is an important institution for the entire community. For the future of our children, and many generations to come, it is important for all of us to ensure the continuation and survival of Omar Mosque organization.
Let us not forget the reward in the hereafter by Allah, as this is a Sadaqah Jariyah, which is one of the most rewarding acts we can do in our lifetime as the benefits of giving this charity can be realized in this lifetime and long after we have passed on.
