In memory of my grandfather, Bernie O'Malley, I have been working with Stonehill College the last few years to build a memorial on campus in honor of him. My grandfather, Bernie O'Malley, was a member of the first graduating class of Stonehill College in 1952. 

As the school means a lot to my grandfather and family, I proposed the idea of a memorial in honor of my grandfather and his fellow classmates in the first graduating class. We will be constructing a memorial in front of Donahue Hall, which is a main building on campus where my grandfather took all his classes. The memorial will include a beautiful brick and cobble entrance patio with a granite Stonehill medallion in the center. In addition, we will include an engraving for Bernie and his classmates. Construction will begin this August.
