Olyvia’s Support Recovery After Emergency Surgery

Giving an update so far for everyone asking - and thank you again for all the love.

I try not to be vulnerable on here and keep it as funny and light as possible, but 5 days ago when I woke up and I couldn’t feel my legs, it terrified me in a way I could never imagine. I woke up with no mobility in legs from the waist down. Come to find out after an CT, MRI, X-rays, labs and tissue tests, I had a lot more damage than anticipated causing me to lose all feeling, resulting in emergency surgery to repair my back and take the pressure off the nerve, to make sure I could walk again.

My first hospitalization resulted in the surgery going well for about and week and a half with a nice recovery. Unfortunately I woke up that week with the same damage back in action, now non repairable until further notice while I continue to do more tests and let my body heal. I will need another surgery - and my doctors have claimed I could be out of work from anywhere of 3-6 months if not longer considering recovery time and physical therapy.

Putting me on rest for a lengthy period of time - I’m never one to ask for help in any way, shape, or form, so this is a really hard transition for me while also learning how to walk normally again! All donations will go directly to bills, medication, doctors appointments and further treatment requirements. I’ve been denied state care, and not eligible for any form of disability or unemployment as of right now.
