Olympics 2022 - Bridger Gile, Aspen

 My name is Bridger Gile. I’m 21 years old and a native of Aspen, CO. I grew up skiing the Elk mountain range since I could walk, was even featured in a Warren Miller movie when I was 4. Skiing has been in my blood since the beginning. At an early age I got involved in competitive ski racing and excelled in the sports various disciplines. Ski racing became my greatest passion and set me on a path to realize my childhood dreams of racing on the FIS World Cup circuit and one day representing the US in the Olympics.

This past year, by winning the overall NorAm title, I qualified for the US Ski Team and earned a spot in Giant Slalom for the World Cup races. Although the 2020-2021 season was complicated by Covid-19 protocols, I was able to compete in all FIS WC GS races in Europe. It was an incredible experience and a big step in my career. I learned so much to make me faster, smarter and more prepared for the upcoming WC season. A season which will be pivotal in deciding who qualifies for the Olympic Team for Beijing 2022.

While ski racing is a beautiful sport and my ultimate passion, it is one that does not come cheap. I have relied on the support and generosity of family and friends to get me to this point. In order to continue to excel and have a chance at attaining my goals, I need to reach outside of my circle to help with financing this dream. Recently, I’ve gained the endorsement of Third Edge Heli. It’s an incredible opportunity to represent this organization and the memory of family friend, Greg Harms. He represented all that is good and amazing in our sport, and I will work to continue that legacy.

I believe I have the work ethic, discipline, strength and mental toughness to make this dream a reality. I just need your help. I am asking for your financial backing to help support my goal of representing Aspen, Colorado and the United States on ski racing’s biggest stage, the World Cup and the Olympics. I hope to have the opportunity to make my family, my friends and community proud. Below are some of my career highlights so far. Hope to see you on the hill as this awesome journey unfolds.
