My name is Valentina Aščić and I am a Croatian Olympic short track speed skater, Milano–Cortina 2026 will be my second Olympic Games. Behind my entire sporting journey stands a big family that has been my greatest support, and through this campaign I wish to give them the opportunity to support me from the stands during part of the competition.

Representing Croatia on the world’s biggest sporting stage is an immense honor. However, behind this journey are years of sacrifice, dedication, hard work, and above all, the unconditional support of those closest to me.

I come from a large family – I have two little brothers and three sisters – who, together with my parents, form my first row of passionate supporters. They have been by my side through all the beautiful moments, but also through the difficult ones. From the very beginning, their belief in me has carried me forward and given me the strength to skate every race with the same determination and fire all the way to the finish line.

That is why the opportunity to share even a part of the Olympic Games with them would mean the world to me.

At the Olympic Games, I will compete in three events: 500m, 1000m, 1500m

Due to the high cost of Olympic tickets, it is realistically possible for my family to attend only part of the competition, on the following dates:

1000 m – February 14 and 16, 2026

1500 m – February 20, 2026

Tickets for the Olympic Games are extremely expensive, ranging from 260 to 450 euros per person per event (per day).

The campaign goal is based on an average ticket price of 355 euros, which represents the midpoint of this range.

For three competition days, a total of 21 tickets are required, amounting to 7,455 euros. With a small reserve to cover donation processing fees, the total fundraising goal has been set at 7,600 euros.

If more funds are raised than the target amount, it will mean only one thing – more supporters in the stands. Any additional funds will be used exclusively to purchase extra tickets for extended family members and close friends, so that the people who have supported me throughout my entire journey can be there to cheer me on.

Hrvatska sam olimpijka u brzom klizanju na kratke staze i Milano–Cortina 2026 bit će moje druge Olimpijske igre. Iza mog sportskog puta stoji velika obitelj koja mi je bila najveća podrška, a ovom kampanjom želim im omogućiti da me bodre s tribina barem na dijelu natjecanja.

Predstavljati Hrvatsku na najvećoj sportskoj pozornici svijeta neizmjerna je čast, ali iza tog puta stoje godine odricanja, predanog rada i – prije svega – podrške najbližih.

Dolazim iz velike obitelji – imam dva brata i tri sestre – koji, uz roditelje, čine moj prvi red najvatrenijih navijača. Bili su uz mene u svim lijepim, ali i teškim trenucima. Od samih početaka njihova vjera u moj uspjeh nosi me naprijed i daje mi snagu da svaku utrku kližem s jednakim žarom do samog cilja.

Zato mi iznimno puno znači mogućnost da barem dio Olimpijskih igara mogu podijeliti s njima.

Na Olimpijskim igrama nastupit ću u tri discipline: 500m, 1000m, 1500m

Zbog visokih troškova ulaznica, realno je očekivati da moja obitelj može prisustvovati samo dijelu natjecanja, i to na sljedeće datume:

1000 m – 14. i 16. veljače 2026.

1500 m – 20. veljače 2026.

Ulaznice za Olimpijske igre izuzetno su skupe i kreću se između 260 i 450 eura po osobi po danu natjecanja.

Cilj kampanje temelji se na prosječnoj cijeni ulaznice od 355 eura.

Za tri dana natjecanja potrebno je ukupno 21 ulaznica, što iznosi 7.455 eura. Uz manju rezervu za troškove obrade donacija, ukupni cilj kampanje postavljen je na 7.600 eura.

Ako se prikupi više sredstava od ciljanog iznosa, to će značiti samo jedno – još više navijača na tribinama. Sav eventualni višak bit će usmjeren isključivo na kupnju dodatnih ulaznica za širu obitelj i bliske prijatelje, kako bi me mogli bodriti ljudi koji su oduvijek bili uz mene.

Ako se odlučite pomoći, vaša podrška znači puno više od same donacije – ona je znak da se rad, obitelj i zajedništvo prepoznaju i cijene. Svaka pomoć, kao i dijeljenje ove kampanje, meni i mojoj obitelji neizmjerno znači.
