Olly's Struggle: Your Help Can Heal

Hi, my name is Jessica, and the little gentleman in the tuxedo is Olly. He's always been such a healthy boy. Earlier this year, he had a UTI. He took medications, and everything went back to normal. Come this Wednesday night, and he’s straining. I took him to the vet the next day. They ran tests took an X-ray and found no blockages. We went home with some medications. At 4 am on Friday, he was excessively drooling with little movement. I began rushing him to an ER. I called ahead of time, and they advised waiting for the vet as he said there was no blockage the day before . We went to the vet, and of course, he was blocked. He was sedated and they did a catheter, and it was barely able to go in apparently there were stones embedded in the penis that the X-rays the day before did not show. After spending $800 from both days at his Primary, we went on our way to ER 30 mins away. We arrived at the ER, and they did more testing. They advised I needed to go to the 24HR ER as he would likely need to be hospitalized as his bladder might be ruptured and he needed a more detailed ultrasound. After paying their $1.2k bill, I was on my way to the ER distressed and frustrated of constant worry as his primary had called me and suggested I go to a 24Hr one as he was really worried on how lethargic he remained after being sedated. We arrived at the 24HR ER they did the examination, and the Dr wasn’t too concerned about a rupture, but they recommended a specific ultrasound that can see the tiniest of things and most likely another catheter for 24 hours and hospitalize him for 48 hours afterwards hopefully he could come home. I was quoted $5k for the low estimate. I used whatever credit cards I had left and paid and had left him there. The catheter came out today, Sunday 04/27, and unfortunately, he wasn’t peeing on his own, which was such a heartbreak to hear I was hoping he’d do it on his own . I haven’t stopped crying for him and how scared he must be, but I just hope he knows I’m doing this for him to get healthy again. Next steps recommended as a surgery couldn’t be done today, he’d stay another night being monitored. They’d do another catheter so he can pee comfortably, and once the catheter is out, we will see how it goes. If surgery is the other way, we can start tomorrow. I was quoted $500 for one night and catheter, and just in case the surgery is done tomorrow, they quoted $6.5k due tomorrow before they begin. After paying the $500, the Dr called hours later that they had gotten the catheter in and hes drugged up to being uncomfortable, she also advise turns out he developed a UTI and is on antibiotics, as well as she noticed olly seems to have a heart murmur and tomorrow he will see a specialist regarding his uti/kidneys and if they notice the murmur as well they will try to do a different testing that estimate between $500-$700 which will be needed prior to a surgery to determine if it’s benign or possible heart condition??? It’s heavy having to think of where gather this money so quickly especially for these random things they keep finding? All I pray for is for him to come home to me with no complications. I don’t expect to meet my goal, and it’s okay, especially with the tough times we’re all going through in the economy or even if you don’t know the strong love of a furbaby, but if even one person donates, I’d be grateful. If you take a moment and donate, even if you sacrifice your $5 coffee of the day or the round up donation for the restaurant, I really appreciate you from the bottom of my heart and Olly's. Please hold your fur babies close. I miss the feeling of Olly near my feet. Please help him come home. Thank you for reading.
Update 04/28 : The catheter once again didn’t work the way we hoped it would and need to result to surgery but once again surgery was delayed until possibly tomorrow, surgery is something nerve wracking but it seems to be his best option. Regarding the heart murmur they need to refer to a cardiologist tomorrow for an echocardiogram estimating max $700 but it’s something that could prevent any issues and no risk is worth taking, if all is well he will proceed with the surgery. Estimate updated to 7k for now.
