Olly’s Community Project Kenya

Hi, my name is Olly, I’m currently 13 years old and I have an amazing opportunity to go to Kenya in July 2026 on a 4 week expedition.

The trip will be an incredible opportunity for me. I will be involved in a range of projects across two rural Kenyan communities. One project being School improvements and conservation work which will include helping to support community development projects such as traditional house building and school improvements. Another project being Community development and coastal forest protection where I will help to build or renovate school buildings so that local children have a clean and safe academic environment. I may also get to work on reforestation projects within the sacred Kaya forest.

I’ll become part of the community as I live and work alongside local people, learning about the challenges faced by local people as well as the rich tradition and culture of Kenya. Throughout my expedition, I will hopefully get the chance get up close to some truly incredible wildlife trying to spot some of the Big 5 on land and get to scuba dive alongside colourful marine life as I do my PADI Open Water Scuba Diving qualification in the Indian Ocean.

This is such an amazing opportunity for me, and really is a once in a life time experience which I’m really looking forward to. I'd massively appreciate your support in helping me raise £5,000 to get me there. Thank you.
