Hi, my name is Olly. I was involved in a high speed road traffic collision with a red deer on my way home from work, resulting in major injuries and trauma, my R6 written off and total loss of all my gear I’d spent years to afford.

My insurance will cover the cost of the bike (barely), but as I have no one to claim against I’m out of luck when it comes to the gear I was wearing and personal injury cover.

I am just looking for help repurchasing gear and equipment so when I am recovered I can go straight back to work and have my independence again.

My injuries included:

• Two broken arms

• Laceration through left thigh via deer antler

• Bruised lungs

• Internal bleeding (spleen)

• Damaged vertebrae

• Minor road rash to ankles and groin

Despite all this I still consider myself quite lucky to have come off as well as I have and can’t wait to get back on two

wheels.

Unfortunately, six weeks out of work will badly affect my income and as someone who was never really well off anyway this incident has thrown a spanner in my finances.

The £1,150 goal is approximately the value of all the gear unfortunately ruined during the crash.
