Last week, we unexpectedly lost a bright light in the world, Dr. Mirek Szatko.  Mirek was a devoted husband to Laura, father to Ollie, and talented emergency medicine doctor.  All of us who were lucky enough to know him can attest to his bright smile, quick laugh, and selflessness.  From his time in South Jersey to Maui, he has touched countless lives.   He may have hid his pain from us, but we all knew how much he loved his family and that he would do anything for his friends. 

Ollie, Mirek and Laura's 2 year old, shares his smile.  I know we all feel helpless during this time.  Please consider contributing to a fund for Ollie's future.  We want to honor Mirek by ensuring that Ollie has opportunities to do whatever he sets his mind to in the future.   Mirek will live on through Laura and Ollie's adventures.  Let's show them their extended family from Maui to Jersey will continue to support Ollie and encourage all his hopes and dreams, just as Mirek would.
