Ollie’s Army Fundraising Page
Donation protected
My sister, Charlotte, has recently been given the devastating news that her son, Ollie, who is 6 years old, has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Ollie started the long process of chemotherapy within days of his diagnosis, but it will be a long road to his recovery. This page has been set up by both myself and Julie Willis on behalf of the family and friends in both England and Northern Ireland, so we can join together and show our support to Ollie and his family.
Charlotte is a self employed nail technician and make up artist. During Ollie’s treatment she will be unable to work, so therefore we want to help support her so she is free to care for Ollie at this traumatic time. Any help with bills and everyday expenses will be greatly appreciated.
Ollie's community have already rallied around, with several fundraising events completed and more planned which you can attend or donate to. 4 brave Firefighters from Ollie's home town, Carrickfergus, will be running 10k to 'Storm the Castle' in August in full firefighting kit, see their 'Ollie's Army' Go Fund Me page for full details.
Ollie is an avid football player with Carrick Rangers in Carrickfergus, who have also been extremely supportive since his diagnosis and continue to run various events as do their local rivals Barn United.
There is a Facebook page, Ollie’s Army, that gives updates on Ollie’s progress. The link is below, so everyone can keep updated
We are currently expecting Ollie to be receiving chemotherapy treatment for around 6-9 months, so any donations big or small will be greatly appreciated. All donations made from the combined fundraising efforts will directly go towards supporting Ollie and Ollie's care. If there is any money left over, the family have said they would like it donated to charity.
