Ollie Needs Surgery!
Donation protected

Hi Yall!
As most of you know, I rescued Ollie in 2013. He was 2 years old, weighed a whopping 22 pounds, and was in kidney failure from being so emaciated. Someone had also thrown acid on him, and he still has those scars from his days on the streets.
Over the years, he has been one of my best friends and a constant reminder that it is possible to choose happiness and positivity no matter what. If anyone had a reason to be bitter or scared, it was Ollie, but he is always next to me smiling and ready for our next adventure. :) He has been my reason to smile on so many bad days.
Well, now I'm asking for help for him.
This past Sunday, Ollie and I walked to the dog park to meet up with my friend who just recently adopted my foster, Dex. They played and had a great time, but on the way back, Ollie started limping. Today, I brought him to the vet and he was diagnosed with 2 luxating patellas, each of his rear legs. He will have to have surgery to correct the problem, or things will progressively get worse.
I have called to several surgeons and found that the cost will be around $4000 per knee.
I pride myself in being an independent, self sufficient person, but I am going to ask for help here. I am pinching pennies, but please if you can spare even $1, I will be so incredibly grateful. I dont anticipate this, but IF there is any money left over, I will be donating it to a local shelter.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Ollie's story!
