Hi, my name is Ollie. I have been powerlifting for 4 years and competing for most of that time.

In January 2026 I became British Equipped Powerlifting Champion in my age / weight category. This earned me an invitation to represent my country as part of Team GB at European and World championships in May and September respectively. In May I travelled to Pilsen, Czechia for the European Championships, where I competed in my first international competition. In September I hope to travel to Sun City, South Africa for the World Championships. To achieve this dream I need to raise £2000 as I need to fund the entirety of this trip myself!

As a 17 year old student, raising the funds to take part is an issue, especially since I am under 18, as I need to fund a chaperone to go with me. Powerlifting is a sport which doesn’t attract much funding from sponsors.

I am excited to have been offered this opportunity. As an under 18 Powerlifter I feel that I am in a position to inspire other young people to follow their dreams. This is why I am asking for any donations, no matter how small, that could help me achieve this dream.
