Oliviya's Warriors

As some may know, Oliviya, my soon-to-be 5-year-old Goddaughter, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. She has been in the hospital since March 7th. Since that date, her diagnosis and treatment have moved quickly and come as a shock to everyone. She has already started Chemotherapy and undergone several procedures. We are all hoping she can come home soon, but it is unknown how long she will have to remain in the hospital.

Her parents, Chelseh and Garland have been by her side the whole way. They have both started the process to submit paperwork for family care leave to their employers, but neither has been able to work because Oliviya needs both her parents more than ever right now. They are taking turns driving to and from Oakland nightly, as only one of them is allowed to stay overnight at the hospital, and they are needed by their other children at home. We all know gas prices are astronomical. It is only a matter of time until the bills start piling up. I'm starting this fundraiser to try and help ease the coming stress so Chelseh and Garland can focus on Oliviya's care and their family.

Chelseh and Garland are two of my best friends. They are loving, dedicated parents to Oliviya and her siblings. I have spoken with each of them and made them aware of my intentions to raise money to help their family through this very difficult diagnosis and nightmare.

Oliviya is a tough little girl and a fighter. Oliviya and her family need a helping hand through this difficult time. Let's show them what Oliviya's Warriors can do!
