Olivia’s moving costs

Donation protected
For many, Olivia’s story is familiar. She was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called CDG at 3 months old. She is non mobile and can’t lift her own head, non verbal, fed intravenously, susceptible to seizures and many more other issues.

At the point of diagnosis, so was given around 2 years. Since then she gained a little brother George, now 18 months, and she will be turning 3 in February.

It’s odd to say but we were not prepared for a situation where we would outgrow our 2 bedroom home but the time has now come with the growing amount of equipment she has and also George’s needs to be independent and not be sleeping at the foot of our bed when he turns 2. He cannot share her room due to medical equipment and a constant overnight presence of a carer.

We are very very lucky to have both Olivia and George and also to be offered a council house with an additional small bedroom but the sudden change of situation has left us trying to find a vast sum for floor coverings throughout the whole house and other related costs in a short space of time.

The downstairs needs suitable hard wearing flooring throughout for her wheelchair, various minor changes, the rest of the hours needs carpeting, some other minor decorating and so on. I can do some work myself but there is a limit on my abilities and materials available.

We aren’t expecting a miracle. A few people have suggesting this which is why we are here. As always if you aren’t able to help, a share goes a long way!

Thank you
