Olivia's Mental Heath Journey
Mental Health is one of the hardest, longest, loneliest roads a parent can ever navigate alongside their child. Challenges include finding the right diagnosis, the best way to parent, and finding the right fit for a therapist. What no one can predict is how difficult it is to admit when more than what insurance will cover is needed to ensure their child is safe and on the road to recovery. It’s a worse case scenario too many families face with insurance refusing to cover the cost.
This is the scenario our family faces now. Until recently, my daughter’s needs seemed to be met as an outpatient with her therapy team and our family. This past week, it has become clear that she needs more help than any of us realized. My daughter needs more than what can be provided outpatient and for longer than insurance will cover. To help give her the treatment she needs, I turn to my friends and family for financial assistance. Insurance will only cover part of the treatment the rest is purely out of pocket expense.
Please consider donating toward her medical costs. Whatever amount you can offer is greatly appreciated, and we are already grateful for your generosity. If you are unable to give if you can please share this story, that would also be appreciated. Thank you.
