Family and friends I know you all know that our dad passed away last Nov, and that we are still trying to recover physically emotionally, and financially from that.
Most of you know that our dad was a huge light that filled the room . Most of you didn't know our mom on a personal level, because she was blind and shy and didn't go out much, but she was a light too. Her light was a little light but it was powerful and possibly the most important one in our earthly lives. she was our home. Her light was like the little flame on the furnace, you don't see it but when you walk in the house you feel the warmth and it makes you feel safe and secure. when it goes out you definitely notice that its gone.
She was our safe place our therapist our prayer warrior a "GaMa" to 8 beautiful grandbabies. She was our family dispatcher, when any of us were in need she rallied the troops to go be there for them. Our mom Olivia was so many things. She was kind, insanely smart, compassionate, and funny. Mom always put the needs of others before her own. Even while she laid here dying she hung on because she didn't want us to hurt. It wasn't until we told her it was ok to go meet God that she stopped fighting and took her last breath. our mom she literally prayed for everyone and everything. If she heard sirens she would say a prayer for whoever they were going to. If we lost our keys, she would say a prayer to find them.
Our mom was passionate about 3 things in this life. GOD, Her family, her thirst for knowledge. Its hard to find people like her.
Our little light is gone now and we need help giving her a resting place hopefully near our dad the gentle giant that lit the room. If you guys could find it in your hearts to help and share this so that she can be laid to rest soon our family would be forever grateful.
Any funds sent to help will be spent on; funeral cost, travel expenses for loved ones that came to see her off. They will also help fill the gap where time off from work was needed while she was on hospice and time that is needed to take care of her arrangements thank you all.
