A young mom fighting a brain tumor while trying to stay strong for my son.

I am 30 years old and a single mom to my 8 year old son, who is my entire world. Every decision I make, every ounce of strength I have, is for him . Recently my life was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumor.

Despite this terrifying diagnosis I am still pushing myself to work as much as I physically can as a CNA. Even on the days when I am exhausted, scared, and dealing with symptoms like severe headaches. I keep showing up because my son depends on me. I refuse to let him see how afraid I am, but the truth is, I am scared every single day.

Even with health insurance, the medical bills are already piling up. Treatments, testing, time missed from work, and basic living expenses are becoming overwhelming. I am doing everything I can, but I am reaching a point where I simply cannot do this alone anymore.

What keeps me up at night is not just my health. It is my fear of leaving my son behind. No parent should have to think about funeral expenses or whether their child will be ok if they are gone, but this diagnosis has forced me to face those fears far to young.

I never wanted to ask for help. I am someone who has always worked hard and taken care of my responsibilities. But right now, I need help so I can focus on fighting this, getting through treatment, and being here for my son as long as possible.
