Hujambo (Hello)! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! For those of you who don’t know, I’m moving to Tanzania in August to work as a Project Coordinator for the 2Seeds Network. For a year, I will be living in a small, rural village, working with local farmers to develop their agricultural businesses and improve income security and food safety.
The 2Seeds Network is a nonprofit organization that focuses on building partnerships between young professionals and Tanzanian farmers in an effort to fight extreme poverty and address the issues of food and income insecurity in Tanzania. By developing agricultural and economic projects, 2Seeds and its Tanzanian partners work to convert impoverished communities into economically and environmentally sustainable and productive communities. As a Project Coordinator, I will assist in implementing these agricultural and economic projects. With another Project Coordinator, I will live in the Korogwe District of Tanzania, working to address the distinct needs of my village and of the Tanzanian partners with whom I am working. If you choose to donate, I will be sending out monthly Facebook updates to show you where your donations are going!
I’m so grateful to have this opportunity, and I hope that you can support my work in Tanzania! All of the money fundraised on this page will be used directly to support 2Seeds’ projects, including the ones that I will be coordinating. The 2Seeds Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so all of your donations are tax-deductible! Additionally, my parents have agreed to match the first $4,000 that I raise, so even if you can only donate a little, it will count for a lot! Every small bit counts!
By the way, you may notice when you donate that the beneficiary of the campaign is Amanda Satterwhite. She is the Manager of Finance and Operations of 2Seeds, so all money will still go directly to 2Seeds!
