On September 14, 2023, Olivia Jeffries was in a one-car crash. She was ejected from her vehicle, suffering a traumatic brain injury and multiple skull fractures. After spending ten days in the ICU without response, she finally began to move and react independently! She has a long road to recovery, including time spent in an out-of-state Long Term Acute Care Hospital.
All in all, Olivia is making very slow progress, but it is progress. It’s going to remain very slow for a long time, and she is looking at minimal improvement every day. However, she is slowly regaining consciousness, the swelling on her brain is settling into a healthier range, and she is beginning to move her arms and legs a bit.
Miraculously, she does not have any other significant injuries. There are a few scrapes, and her sacrum is broken, but nothing requiring any major surgeries or care outside of time.
Olivia has health insurance but will still have significant medical bills. We have roughly calculated her immediate rehabilitation and insurance costs to $32,000.
We know many care greatly about Olivia, and donating towards these needs and bills would be a wonderful way to show her that love. We hope to get Olivia back on her feet as quickly as possible!
