Hi Everyone, my name is Sofia Faira and I'm starting this GoFund Me for Olivia Garofalo.

Olivia is one of the sweetest, kind-hearted, and most loving people I have ever met! She has the biggest passion for horses, dance, and drawing. Liv always lights up every room she is in and I am so thankful to be able to call her my friend.

On December 16th, 2022, Olivia was brought into the emergency room for a bacterial pneumonia. That day, she was sedated and placed into a medically induced coma and on a ventilator in order to allow her body to heal. The next day, they learned that not only did she have a pneumonia, but she also had a blood infection. Today (December 19th, 2022) her family learned that her bacteria traveled to her heart valves infecting them and causing endocarditis. Liv will likely need surgery to get rid of the infection and repair/replace the valves. She is still currently in the medically induced coma and is being transferred to another hospital awaiting surgery.

Olivia's fight is far from over and the medical bills are only adding up. With the permission of her parents, I wanted to start this to help subside some of the medical costs that she will endure.
