OLIVE'S CANCEROUS TUMOR REMOVAL

My dear sister Sara Stump is going through a very difficult time right now with her beloved dog OLIVE aka, "the pig". Sara works very hard hustling in the movie business here in los angeles. She is an amazing human who is generous, hardworking, kind and always willing to jump in & help out. Just a week ago her precious canine companion, miss piggy poo OLIVE had a tumor biopsied on her shoulder which sprouted up almost overnight. The results came back yesterday and OLIVE was diagnosed with a baseball sized grade one cancerous tumor embeded in her front right shoulder muscle, which calls for immediate removal.
The estimate for Olive’s surgery (axial pattern flap); it is $5000- $5500 and includes the following:
Pre-surgical examination
Hospitalization (to go home on day 3)
Fluid therapy
In-patient medication and injection costs
Pain management
Nursing care
Surgery (axial pattern flap)
Anesthesia
Intensive care immediately post surgery
Histopathology
Suture removal
We are hoping to raise a portion, if not all of the costs to cover her surgery. The surgery will take place at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital1900 South Sepulveda Blvd in two weeks. I will match whatever is raised and my family will cover the rest if we do not make the total in the next two weeks before the surgery.
Most of you know Sara and I through our annual music festival STUMPFEST we put on in Portland, OR every spring! Or by our loud hilarious heckling / commetary to be found anywhere. This truly means so much to have support in this emotionally trying time for Sara. It is very difficult asking for help but some circumstances are necessary to lean on your friends when you are in need.
OLIVE is a land pig and some of you know her boisterous personality matches Sara's! She is 7 years young & loves bully sticks, hiking , crosby stills & nash. Sara's entire house is one giant napkin for OLIVE to rub her jowls upon. Many of you have enjoyed her company and/or licking harrassment staying on Sara couch.
The good news is with swift removal & proper treatment OLIVE has a excellent chance at survival and potentially living a cancer free life.
