Olive’s Cancer Expenses

After three periorbital infections, a mass was discovered in Olive’s right maxillary sinus. After two biopsies it was diagnosed as an Inflammatory Myofibroblastic Tumor (ALK+). She completed 5 months of a new targeted chemotherapy before having the remaining tumor removed surgically. The margins were questionable so she was put on another chemo therapy but the side effects were too much for her little body. 

After three months of being cancer free, Olive’s symptoms returned. She now will be going back in for a liquid biopsy (blood test for dna she’s from tumor cells) and she will have an endoscopy where they will biopsy anything suspicious. Her doctors are concerned, her family is concerned, and Olive is just trying to live a normal life amongst the chaos. 

She she will be in San Francisco every week for the next three weeks. Her treatment hospital is almost 150 miles away. This fundraiser is to help with gas, meals, parking fees, and any other expenses related to Olive’s treatment.
