Help Laila run comfortably again
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Oliver, and my dogs named Laila. Laila is a pit bull/chihuahua mix that I got Laila nearly 6 years ago when she was 3 months old and i was only 14. We are now 6 and 20. I promised her the world. She was a successful service dog for me for a good couple years and was eventually retired due to having minor back issues, later learned major knee issues and some anxiety. She still helps me in many different ways, even if she can’t work in public anymore. A few months ago laila starting limping and yelping when her leg was touched. We rushed her to the ER and they told us she has what is equivalent to an ACL year in humans, she ruptured her ligament in both knees causing those bones to rub together when she’s active, and causing a lot of pain. She now limps daily, can’t go on walks, can’t run, can’t do quite literally anything she loves, without limping after. She much take daily meds for pain and is spending most days resting most of the day. To heal her and get her running and doing what she loves, she needs double knee surgery. This surgey would be very invasive and lead to her needing to learn to walk again, but she would be able to walk again. She would be able to do everything she loves again with no pain and get to be a dog again. Unfortunately this is a surgery that i can’t afford on my own. I am a severely mentally ill, autistic person who unfortunately can’t work right now. I have small side jobs that have helped me start to save towards this goal but it is unobtainable for me on my own. I’m asking you donate anything you can to help me andmy dog. She has done everything she can for me, she worked/works so hard for me to try to keep me happy and safe, now it’s my turn. Thank you for reading this far, please donate and share if you can to help save my baby.
